Today was my first entire real day as a
Montreal University Citizen.

I had my first breakfast in my room, and
my first day out with the girls.

I came back quite late (after supper, which wasn't supposed !)
so I wasn't really hungry for a real supper.
I decided to eat to vegetables and a ramen soup
(that I didn't even eat half)

So, later, I got more hungry ;_;
(I swear the story is becoming more interesting towards the end ^^;; )
I decided to take my courage and to go at the common
kitchen area to have toasts (I do not have a toaster in my room).
there was 5 people, two near me, chatting together.
The girl finally said "hi" to me with a french accent so I said "hi" back to her
and we started greeting each other.
she's one of my neighbors from the 7th floor !
Her name is Lucille and there was also Andréanne (another girl from France)
that introduced herself to me :)

Then I came back to my room to prepare my schedule for tomorrow,
to get my papers ready and everything
and I remembered I had seen on TV that a nice movie was on tonight.
So I went to the common TV room and there was people already...
Instead of just going "too bad let's go back in my room",
I asked them (3 girls) if I could watch the TV even if they were eating and
talking together.
They said yes.

So, after a while (15 minutes maybe)
I tought about Ramada (arab muslim tradition)
that started on the 21st and I asked them if they were eating late
because of that.
One of the ladies told me they were, because now the sun was completely down.
They looked arab so I asked them about their country.
One of them is Egyptian, the other Algerian and the other Libanese !
It was fun hearing them talking together in a mix of french and arab ~
They were eating very smelly things (smelling good <3)
so I told them it looked delicious and that I liked a lot to discover about
new countries and cultures.
So the Egyptian lady took one of their cocktail glass (they had one each)
and gave me hers !!!
I was so shy ! She said it was a gift if I wanted to try :)

It was really good.
It was pineapple juice with apricot juice, and inside the glass were
dried figues, apricots and raisins.
I was proud she shared her egyptian cocktail with me !
(in fact she gave me her intire glass ;__; )
And next they took some dessert with tea and coffee, and she suddenly offered
me more !
There is this dessert I do not know what it is.
It looks like sugar, with something else in it... It is strange looking!

I am really happy I know these people now.
Meeting people from around the world always makes me super excited.
It makes me smile !!!

If everyday at UdeM is full of surprises like this one, I cannot
wait for more !!! <3
